A week ago, I was faced by a career dilemma. I was torn between pursuing a career completely related to my degree or pursuing a career in a field or industry that I am really passionate about even if it means taking a position that is that is totally not related to my degree.

I am in complete doubt of what I should do, and I found solace in seeking for God’s answer in the form of our college professor’s graduation letter to us. Then I realized, I am done doing what my brothers dictate me to do. I fully understand where they are coming from but I believe it is high time that I make my own decisions and do what my heart tells me to do, what my mind thinks that is the best for me and what my guts know what I needed to do —- after all in pursuing a career it is not just about the income, the benefits, or what not, it is most importantly about loving what you do. Having that in mind, I accepted the job opportunity presented to me because this is the company that I have been waiting for, and I know and trust myself that I can make a career out of this position and work my way up. At least, at the end of the day I know I am not going to regret not taking the position because I took the risk and I am willing to stand up for what I believe in. And so far, I am having the time of my life. :-)

So goodbye to my bum and unemployed life, hello to a new beginning of being an employed career woman! Cheers!

Beautiful interiors like this never fail to capture my attention.

This is Iko’s Breads and Cakes, a local pastry shop near our place and I have to admit their goodies are indeed delicious plus they are affordable. They have recently opened a branch along Kapitolyo so if any of you want to try them out, check their new branch. Their Chocolate Cake is one of their best sellers! 👌

Life Lately // Pixels and Words

Mornings are usually spent with a mug of hot chocolate sprinkled with generous amounts of marshmallows. That is perfection.

Exploring the cities in search of the perfect job opportunity.. so far, I haven’t found the ONE.

City lights are always breathtaking to see, this one is taken at the 15th floor along Timog and Kamuning.

Graduation gifts from the boyfriend, two things that make me absolutely happy: Chocolates, Cookie Butter and Lipsticks.

Thirst Quenchers! Perfect for the hot summer days!

Little cheesecakes, muy delicioso!

Home baked cupcakes, what more could I ask for?

I never thought I’d find something that could replace coffee in my life. Tea is my thing now, and this is my home-made Chocolate Milk Tea.

Night Swimming, serenity in a not so cold summer night.

Kapitolyo Adventure: Mad Mark’s Creamery and Good Eats

My friends and I have been meaning to explore the wonder that is Kapitolyo and our first of the many more adventures in the future is at Mad Mark’s Creamery and Good Eats!

This place is extremely worth it since their prices are really affordable for the hefty amount they are serving. Here’s what my friends and I ordered:

Sgnature Steak (Medium Rare) in Creamy Mushroom Sauce x Smashed Potato x Bacon Potato Salad

Signature Steak (Medium) in Bootstrap Steak Sauce x Smashed Potato x Bacon Potato Salad

Signature Steak (Medium Rare) in Creamy Mushroom Sauce x Tenslaw x Bacon Potato Salad

Creole Grilled Chicken x Cajun Fries x Tenslaw

Of course, we have to leave room for their famous artisanal ice cream: We got Half-Baked Madagascar, Strawberries and Cream, and I forgot what my other two friends got but they are all good I assure you! :)

Y’all have to try this restaurant, they recently opened a new branch in Glorietta so you need not travel all the way to Pasig to try this out! I swear, your tummy will thank you afterwards! Haha!

Lazy Day In

I can’t believe I missed our last class trip at Zambales just because my body decided to spoil my fun and get sick not to mention the employment opportunities coming my way holding me back on joining the fun and my mom being all protective not allowing me like I am an underage teenager when in fact I am 20 years old already, okay my life sucks.

So I’m staying in bed all day, doing what I do best: a professional bum. Being unemployed is so much fun - not!

Anyhow, here’s how I love spending my lazy days in *( which is btw, all the time): Reading a book, listening to my music, or watching The Vampire Diaries because I am still obsessed about it, texting, drinking tea and stuffing my tummy with all things sweet despite my sore throat and colds, yes I’m a rebel like that. I am anything but productive. Huh. Gotta have fun in my own way when I’m missing all the good things in life right? Haha!

So how are you spending your lazy summer days? Share it with me! :)
